Foxhall, D.C. is a quaint neighborhood located north of Georgetown, near Reservoir Roads and 44th Street NW, and west of the Glover-Archbold Park community. With few through streets, this community provides a calmer city-living experience. This charming community allows residents to enjoy the privacy of a single home surrounded by a nice green lot and the comfort and the glamour of the big city within a short reach.
Foxhall is known for its Foxhall Village, which has been described as feeling, "…more like a small European town than a Washington neighborhood" (Washington Post, 1996.) The beautifully well-kept streets, coupled with Tudor row houses that allow every house to have its own unique look, make Foxhall Village one of the best kept secrets of D.C.'s communities.
Many of the houses located in the area stem from a major development project in the 1920s-1930s. The houses, many complimented with romantic gardens, are all distinct. Interior and exterior uniqueness make these houses as different as the residents that reside in the Village.
Located within this neighborhood are the exclusive developments of Foxhall Crescents and Battery Park on the west side of Foxhall Road. The newest developments, on the west side of Foxhall Road, are Phillips Park and 1881 Foxhall and these should be completed within the next few years!
As Foxhall is a short distance from the economic center of the neighboring Georgetown and Palisades, all amenities and night life are just short drives away!
Foxhall provides residents of D.C. with a picturesque well kept community where can been admired a multitude of single home in all the traditional architectural styles that dominated the past developments, such as Tudor, Georgian and Victorian.
Foxhall neighborhood has also been selected as the site for many ambassador residences and some embassies as well. Style, charming and tranquility all describe this wonderful community.
