Woodley Park is a beautiful community located just north of Adams Morgan in the northwest quadrant of D.C. This beautiful, tree-lined community feels like something you would find outside of a city, due to its lush greenery.
The borders of Woodley Park include Klingle Road to the north, Rock Creek Park and Calvert Street to the south, Cathedral Avenue to the east and 34th Street and Cleveland Avenue to the west. Home to the Woodley Park/ Adams Morgan Metro station, Woodley Park is an easy commute for anyone living in the area. The Rock Creek Parkway, located nearby, is also another way to travel around the area and this leads commuters to Virginia and Maryland.
Various schools call Woodley Park home: the new Oyster Bilingual School- a newly constructed public school- and The Maret School- a co-ed private school. The Maret School is located on Cathedral Avenue and its large campus is home to the Woodley Mansions, which is the reason for the neighborhood name. The Woodley Mansion served as the summer home for various presidents while in office, such as Van Buren, Buchanan and Tyler.
